Rentechno launches 1st stage of solar power plant in Vinnytsia regionThe Kyiv-based Rentechno Company has launched the first stage of a 250-kilovolt solar power plant in Vinnytsia region, the development director, Dmytro Lukomsky, has told Interfax-Ukraine. The solar plant is located near Sloboda-Bushanska hydro power plant in Yampil district and is being built under an order from the hydro power plant's owner – Energoinvest LLC (Vinnytsia). Lukomsky said that the National Energy Regulatory Commission (NERC) at a meeting on September 22 set a feed-in tariff for electricity generated by the solar power plant for Energoinvest. As reported, equipment for the second stage, the capacity of which will reach 321.5 kilovolts, has been bought and is being shipped to Ukraine. The second stage will be assembled in October 2011. Israeli company Sunelectra is supplying the equipment for the plant. Rentechno provides comprehensive engineering solutions using energy saving and renewable energy technologies. Since 2009, Rentechno has been developing solar energy under the SolarUA brand. Energoinvest exploits 11 small hydro power plants in Vinnytsia, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil regions. News |
